How Disgusting!

Had this couple come in last night as part of a table of 7. Aside from holding up the table for a good hour before anyone else joined them he was quite rude.

He blew his nose in the clean nice white napkin at the table! In a honkin' fashion to boot!

How disgusting! It really grossed me out.

What are some of the most disgusting things you have seen people do at the table?

If You Give Me That Look Again I Want Another Waiter

I have this 9 top tonight. The guys are all drinking and there is this one asshole who thinks he is something else.

Anyway before the meal started I asked if it was all on one bill and they say yeah. Okay that is a good start. Then there is this one guy who orders appys for the table. Then some people ordered salads. That is fine. Except I guess it was his honey saying there is hardly any dressing on her caesar so I get her some more on the side. Then when I start clearing the guy next to , I will call him asshole , says he didn't have much dressing either. Then asshole who has had too much to drink already says what is going on here? That is two salads already!

Then his honey next to him says her white wine isn't cold enough so I put it on ice. When I come back asshole says that is 3 times now something is wrong. What the fuck is going on? Can you tell me he ask. I just look at him. You know anything I say I will be wrong cause this guy has already had one beer too much already. I just stare at him.

He ask me again this time saying if I look at him the same way he is going to ask for another waiter. So he ask me the same thing. I don't say anything and give him the WTF stare back.
He says ok then!

Nothing happens and the meal moves forward. I do a quality check and ask how the meal is and he pipes up , better than the service! The rest of the group I sense is embarassed. Some want to leave cause of this rude asshole but I tell them it is all on one bill. Once I heard that at the beginning I did not bother going by seat number. Let the bastards pay one bill. I wasn't going to start sorting the drinks out.

I had a supervisor go over and talk with them and he mentioned afterwards that guy was a real prick. I say he sure was. He gave them a discount on the $600 something bill. They had a $200 gift card and paid the rest with cash. Gave me $60 for a tip. Quite crap really for the abuse but it could have been a lot worse.

I wish he had asked me something sarcastic like how long have I been waiting on tables. But just as well cause I have served in places this asshole couldn't afford to eat in. He wouldn't be allowed in anyway.

Should a Waiter Have The Right To Refuse To Wait On a Table?

The other night I had this table come and it was the second straight time I had to serve them. They are rude , oblivious to the fact that there are actually other people in the restaurant that have to be served as well , and when they order this one lady will order for the 11 of them. It is like serving 6 tables because every time you go there with something they want something else.

The other guests in your section watch you run around like crazy for them so really all they want to do is just get up and leave as soon as they have finished their main course. I think partly because they just feel bad seeing me run around for these people.

The woman even calls the managers bitches and they are constantly complaining. The food order never comes out right. Etc..etc...etc...

Now because the restaurant is not privately owned and is a chain restaurant we basically have to put up with this abuse whether we like them or not. They continue to come and complain and treat the servers and management like they own the place.

Now I almost lost it the other night with them and I swear if I have to serve them again I will really make the service so slow with them that they will really get upset. But that wouldn't be professional. But what I would like to do with these people of Arabic descent is just start talking about where they come from and that I have been to places like Jordan , Dubai , Egypt , Muscat , Oman , Saudia Arabia. The guy , her husband who complains , every time he comes asks me how I like it here in Canada.

I am going to lose it if he ask me one more time. I think what I might do is ask him how he likes it here and that he should be lucky he is here but I cannot do that because that is sounding prejudiced.

So the next time they come in should I have the right to ask , if they are seated in my section , if I can take a pass and let someone else serve them?

Because if I have to serve them again I will really not make their meal very enjoyable and truthfully I have never felt this mean toward some people in a very long time. Places I have worked previously these people would not be even allowed through the door. Their manners are completely trash!
